Rhythm Superfoods Expo/Event Demoing Program
Rhythm Superfoods consulted with Mirus Promotions to staff a variety of expos and events nationwide featuring their plant-based snacks, ranging from speciality food and health expos to fitness studio events and 5K/marathon runs. Supplemental in-store samplings at Whole Foods Market, Kroger and Giant Foods were also executed in order to increase brand awareness and directly promote sales.
Rhythm Superfoods worked directly with a Mirus specialist throughout 2017 to coordinate their ongoing expo and event program. Brand ambassadors were recruited from our nationwide Mirus field team, carefully selected upon their previous experience and fit to the brand.
From January through December, a total of 19 expos and events were successfully executed. These activations ranged from 1-3 consecutive days and were staffed with up to three Mirus brand ambassadors per event.
Brand ambassadors were prepped and instructed for each event, ensuring for thorough product knowledge and consistent brand messaging.
Occasionally, brand ambassadors met with the client or manager on-site and received any further training and instruction necessary.
Each activation was closely monitored with real time check-ins to ensure brand ambassadors were arriving on-time and the event was running smoothly. During the events, brand ambassadors distributed POS items, including product samples, $1-off coupons, and beet and kale seed packets, while educating people about the health benefits of Rhythm Superfoods products. Post-event recaps were then completed to summarize consumer feedback and provide photos.

Each event within the 2017 year program attained a broad reach and lasting impact on the Rhythm Superfoods’ target market across various regions nationwide, in a total of 8 different states. Brand ambassadors interacted with a large amount of intercepts per event per day, ranging anywhere from 300 to upwards of 2,000 people!
Rhythm Superfoods clients and managers on-site were pleased with the enthusiasm and professionalism of the brand ambassadors, and post-event recaps had extremely positive feedback from consumers:
The manager was very happy to work with me, and she thought I had a lot of energy! She thanked me for my hard work and for being active throughout the shift.
Consumers were very happy to try our samples out, and a lot of them wanted to hear more! One was particularly excited to get the free seeds to go home and plant her own beets and kale. Many were impressed with the all-natural product and were asking if they could purchase some right then and there!
Everyone loved the samples. They said they loved the taste and thought these were the perfect snacks to have around the house.
Consumers were happily surprised by the beet flavor, and some commented that its crunch was terrific. People commented that the Zesty Nacho kale chips had a great flavor and were not too hot. The Kool Ranch was a common favorite; but overall, the Original kale chips and Naked beet chips were the most popular.
In addition to the event/expo program, Mirus worked with Rhythm Superfoods to provide support through in-store sampling demos, promoting direct sales. In 2017, 84 in-store demos were executed at Whole Foods Market, Kroger and Giant Foods in a total of 15 states (VA, TN, NC, NJ, NV, MN, MI, LS, IN, AL, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL), showcasing 11 different Rhythm Superfoods products and selling a total of 1,866 SKU’s.
The Rhythm Superfoods brand has seen a growth in popularity from these 2017 activations, presenting itself to myriad markets as a delicious and healthy superfood snack.
