This month’s Mirus Marvel is no exception of that.
Diane H. from New York is a prime example of a brand ambassador who goes above and beyond to ensure the best possible outcome with every activation. For a recent demo, she went out of her way to ration with market staff to get product out of the back, in addition to her willingness to carry a large amount of POS across town on the subway. One of our Marketing & Operations Specialists, Caroline, noted that Diane was also very communicative about any concerns she had and kept her updated on shipping without even having to follow up herself. Diane’s dedication, careful attention to detail, and positive attitude are stand-out reasons that we’re so happy to highlight her this month!

What is your favorite thing about being in the experiential marketing industry and why?
I think one of my favorite things in being in the experiential marketing industry is learning about so many different products and all aspects needed to making them attractive and successful. I love interacting with customers and observing their different reactions and tastes. I like the challenge of finding a unique selling point about the product and sharing it so the customer is encouraged to purchase or is at least curious to keep it in mind.
What’s your favorite activation you’ve worked with us and why?
My favorite brand is Delicious and Sons. I love the integrity and excellent quality of the ingredients. I also love that the owners extend this quality to their serving spoons and wood bowls, which are eco-friendly as well. This I feel is a “gourmet” product and reflects the artistry and sincerity of the couple who created it. I’m Italian and when I demo this product, I feel like I’m sharing my family recipe with the customer.
Can you tell us how working for Mirus has affected your life or what motivates you to work hard at Mirus?
Working for Mirus has opened my life to see what goes in developing and selling a product. I am usually the customer, but as an ambassador, I get to learn how a brand is developed and marketed. I used to take it all for granted, but now I see and respect the role of good marketing for a company to be successful. I want the product to be a success, and I believe the brand ambassador should take his or her role seriously. Brand ambassadors are on the “front lines” and reflect the brand, so they have the responsibility and trust of the company to represent it well.
Other than your work, what is something in your life that you are passionate about?
One of the things I do is write ceremonies for weddings, baby blessings and general life celebrations. I am an ordained interfaith, intercultural wedding minister and I love this work. I am passionate about what I call “sacred listening,”; truly listening to a couple so I zone in and truly create the exact and perfectly crafted wedding ceremony of their dreams. I know I offer them and all their guests an “experience” and not just a wedding service.
